Peppermint Oreo Bark

Recipe number dos (that's the Spanish number for two) for our Peppermint day!

This is another super simple, easy, quick recipe.
And who doesn't like bark?
You can pretty much put anything and everything in it.

Peppermint Oreo Bark

You will need:

Oreos
Chocolate coating
White chocolate coating (I used Plymouth Pantry brand for both)
Candy canes (crushed)
Peppermint extract
Pan/Baking sheet
Parchment paper

First I melted 9 squares of the chocolate coating in the microwave, for about two and a half minutes.
Once it was melted and smooth, I put about a teaspoon of peppermint extract in.
Then I poured it into the pan I lined with parchment, spreading it so it's a pretty evenly thin layer.

Throw it into the freezer or fridge for about 15 minutes, and you're ready for step two!

I then melted around 8 squares of the white chocolate coating, again for about two and a half minutes.
Stirring until smooth, I then added some crushed candy canes and some handfuls of Oreos.

Lets be honest here.
Great, easy recipes don't need to be measured.
Just eye ball it man!

Umm..... lets get a close up of that shall we?

:)
Yum.

So once you quit ogling your masterpiece, or stop yourself from just eating it like that.... you mix it all up!
And then pour it over the chilled chocolate layer.
Try and get it as even as possible and to the bottom layer's edges.

And then if you're anything like me... you can add some more Oreo chunks and candy cane pieces on top.
Then put in the freezer or fridge until solid.
Once it's completely chilled, break it apart, and eat it all!!!

Happy baking!
